3D TV Reviews

3D TV sets are the up and coming trend for home entertainment. While currently out of financial reach for the common consumer, the early adopters will most likely pay the expected $4000 with a smile, when it comes to being a trendsetter in their own liv3D TVing room.

Many companies have announced that they're in full production, or end stages of research to release a 3D capable TV. Samsung, Sony and LG to name 3 big players; but, Mitsubishi has beat them all to the table of early development. For a fair number of years, the top of the line Mitsubishi flat panel TVs have been setup to be 3D TV capable and to support the eventual creation of 3D Blue Ray players.

At the recent CES Convention, a Chinese manufacturer went as far as introducing the ability for 3D TV without the use of glasses!

While the distribution of a financially affordable model is still far on the distant horizon, 3D movie events like Avatar, which is undoubtedly a spectacle of incredible proportions, at least from a technical standpoint, are ringing the bell for 3D TV sets to become mainstream rather quickly.

At this stage it is definitely too early for comprehensive reviews of 3D TV models, but at least one thing is certain: TV networks like ESPN, Discovery Channel, etc. are on the forefront of broadcasting their rich programming in 3D. Envision an NFL game in 3D - questions? I didn't think so. It looks like a certain touchdown for this type of technology.
